How to play
Goal: First to line up three marks across, down or diagonally wins.
Step by step
- On a 3x3 board, you take turns placing your mark on an empty square.
- You can have at most 3 marks on the board. Place a 4th and your oldest one vanishes.
- Your shaking mark is the one that disappears on your next move.
- If your three are in a line after the new mark goes down and the oldest leaves, you win.
- If nobody lines up three in 30 moves total (15 each), it’s a draw.
Rules
- You can’t place on a taken square; the square of your own mark that is about to vanish counts as taken too.
- Each new round, the first move switches to the other side.
- Bot levels: Easy mostly plays at random. Medium always takes a ready win and never leaves you one. Hard has the whole game solved.
Controls
- Touch: Tap an empty square.
- Keyboard: Keys 1–9 pick a square (1 top left, 9 bottom right). In solo play, Enter or Space starts a new round once one ends.
In online matches
- You have 60 seconds per move; run out and you lose.
- If you disconnect, you have 60 seconds to come back or your opponent wins. Leaving the game also hands them the win.
- A rematch needs both of you to say yes; the first move switches sides in the rematch.
Tips
- Watch your opponent’s shaking mark too: that square frees up on their next move.
- About to complete three? Check whether losing your oldest mark breaks it. Think one move ahead.
