How to play

Goal: A çay ocağı is the tiny tea stove that keeps every Turkish office running. Pour each customer’s tea exactly how they like it and rack up points before your 3 lives run out.

Step by step

Turkish tea is made in two parts: strong brew from the top pot, then hot water to taste.
The customer orders: light, rabbit’s blood (the classic deep red) or strong; half, regular or to the brim.
Hold the Brew button and let go when the tea hits the brew line on the tulip-shaped glass.
Then hold Water and fill up to the full line at the top.
The pour doesn’t stop the instant you let go, so release a little early.
Half a second after the water stops, the tea is served. A bad tea, a spill or a customer kept waiting costs a life. Lose all 3 and the stove goes out.

Rules

Up to 100 points depending on how close the brew and fill are; +50 for perfect, up to +30 for fast service.
Good or perfect serves in a row grow your streak: +20% each, up to x2.
Miss the brew or the fill by a lot (like a light tea for someone who wanted strong) and you get no points and lose a life.
No water, no serve; the clock ticks while the customer waits.
As you go, customers get less patient and the pour gets faster. After 12 orders, "Eyeball it" orders show up with no brew line.

Controls

Touch: Press and hold Brew and Water; lift your finger to stop pouring.
Keyboard: D or left arrow pours brew, S or right arrow pours water (hold). Enter restarts when the game is over.

Tips

Light = a little brew, strong = lots of brew, rabbit’s blood = right in the middle.
There’s a thin line between "to the brim" and a flooded tray.
